For a fleeting moment in 2022, they brought back this cereal. It was quite possibly the closest you could come to tasting the ambrosia mentioned in Greek myths. General Mills took it away from us knowing that we would never buy any other product they made if they kept this on offer, but I wish they had simply taken the chance.

This was a great tasting cereal. Loveddddd it! Real bummed when it was no longer found on store shelves. I occasionally look to see IF it has returned to the shelves/stores. But sadly no.
Picked up a box of Wheat Checks yesterday (7-9-2026) and found on the back of the box a total of 9 flavors (which personally a few of them they could easily drop if they had to to bring back Double Chex) of Chex shown as each box cover of each flavor available as of this post. Listed below is the list in order from Left to Right (at a slight upward angle in between two recipes, top recipe is the claimed "Original" Chex Party Mix. Which both my mom and I question as some of the ingredients we don't remember. And below recipe "Cheesy Ranch" Chex Mix).
Now the list of available Chex flavors per the pictures on the back of the Wheat Chex box (which is obviously one of the flavors).
1) Strawberry Vanilla
2) Honey Nut
3) Cinnamon
4) Corn
5) Rice
6) Wheat
7) Chocolate
8) Peanut Butter
9) Blueberry
One last thing, a stern message to General Mills, if and WHEN you bring back the ORIGINAL "Double Chex", I CAN'T STRESS this enough, DON'T and I repeat DON'T change the formula/recipe/ingredients. It NEEDS to be and MUST be 100% EXACTLY the SAME as the ORIGINAL "Double Chex".

I miss this cereal SO much. Once I'd tried it, I ate no other cereal until it simply disappeared from the shelves. I would joke that the company found out I liked it too much and made an intervention against my addiction! I SOOO want its return!
