Oat flake fan commented on Oat Flakes (Post) Cereal
I used to buy the late 1980's version. They were the BEST cereal I've ever eaten. The texture and the taste were perfect. BRING THESE BACK, PLEASE!!!!!

Vince M commented on Corn Pops Cereal
I've always liked the taste and texture, but I'm here for the commercials. For the longest time their mascot was a Western prairie dog cartoon named Sugar Pops Pete. In the late 60s I saw an animated ad where a kid was getting besieged by negative signs - 'Keep off the grass!' 'No Dogs Allowed!' 'No swimming!' etc. He finally snaps and runs hollering "SUGAR POPS PEEEETE!!!" who helps him deal. As a kid I found that one strange ad, but it sure stuck with me!

I bought the Frosted Cheerios thinking it would be the same as Frostyo's. It definitely was not.

I hope they bring Pink Panther Flakes back in conjunction with the new Pink Panther movie.

Take a walk down memory lane... or more specifically... a walk down memory cereal aisle. You can find cereals listed alphabetically, by manufacturer or by year of introduction. If you find a cereal that you loved, be sure to give it a vote and see how it ranks in our list of the most popular breakfast cereals of all-time. As you explore the many cereals, you'll find classic magazine advertisements and television commercials, along with a large library of vintage and current cereal boxes.
Since their earliest introduction, breakfast cereals have transformed the way the world eats. Through evolving marketing techniques - most notably the evolution of the cereal box, cereals have changed the way we shop and have influenced the way all products are advertised. A trip through the history of breakfast cereal is a trip through the history of America.

If you have a cool picture of a cereal that is in The Project, you can upload it on that cereal's page. You're pictures and comments are the best part of The Cereal Project.
