been going sine they opened in 1982. It's 5 miles from my house. I go about 275 times a year times 34 years. I've driven some 80 THOUSAND miles back and forth. I've eaten breakfast mostly...around 12 THOUSAND eggs 12 THOUSAND pieces of toast 12 THOUSAND cups of coffee. Their kids were 5 & 7 Now they're grown up and work there with mom and dad.

Located at the intersection of University Boulevard and Viers Mill Road in the heart of Wheaton, MD. Family owned and operated, this is a good old fashioned diner where the food is fresh, homemade and delicious. Open for breakfast and lunch the grill is manned by Nick and his son George, Sofia and their daughter serve and run the cash register with a little help from some friendly staff.

If you're a regular, they probably know your name and on weekends, you'd better get there early or be prepared to wait. This is the kind of diner you remember as a kid growing up in the area but have all but disappeared. They have been written up in the Washingtonian and although not slick like some of the newer "diners" in the area, they make you feel right at home and the food and portions are generous.

If you remember "the good old days", give Nick's a try and I know you will come back.
