My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for a number of years. During that time, we have made nice friends with the help and the owner.
we would not have kept coming if the food was not delicious. Ingrediants are fresh, maple syrup is made on site, service has always been great.

I've been going here for years with my wife and family. The food is OK and the place is nice. The problem is the lady that works there and for those of you that have been there and are reading this review, you know exactly who I am talking about.

She is there most every week day we go and very rarely have we seen her smile. In fact, even though I am a person who leaves more than a 20% tip, and always smile when she takes our order (we say thank you etc# she treats us like we are an annoyance. She's been like this for years. I figure she must be the owner because no one in their right mind would ever keep this lady as an employee.

A couple years ago the Union Leader did a review of the restaurant and they said the same think, that this waitress was rude, rushed orders and acts annoyed your there. When I read the Union Leader review I showed it to my wife and we both laughed because we were surprised no one had mentioned it earlier. She's is rude and discourteous, 90% of the time, to most people in the restaurant. After the bad Union Leader review we stopped by for breakfast and saw a noticeable improvement in her attitude so she must have read the article. But that improvement was short lived and she soon became her old self again, mean.

The Intervale pancake house is convenient for us and we enjoy bringing our grand-kids there during maple sugar season but the last time we were there this waitress was the worse she has ever been. I left her a 20% tip #as always - even though my wife said not to leave her a thing) and when we left my wife said that was it, we would never return. We will not be returning to Intervale pancake house again. My money is green and I'd rather spend it in an establishment that appreciates our business.

She is a mean lady. My family and I do not deserved to be near mean people.

I encourage others who have been to Intervale on week days to write how they honestly feel about this lady's attitude toward the customers of Intervale in this review forum and others for the area. People pay a lot of money to come to NH on vacation and I wouldn't want them to leave thinking all of the people here are like her. I've never met anyone in my life like her that worked as a service person in NH. She sets a terrible example.

Enjoy the 20% tip from my wife and I, because we'll be eating up the street from now on.

The place may be convenient and the food OK, but the lousy service provided by this one woman is enough to make me drive another few miles for not only better food but far better service.

I live in the next town over from Henniker. I raise chickens and sell eggs. When I want a treat I go over to Intervale Farm and let Patrick make me an omelet with lots of stuff. Or my sweetie and I share the biggest breakfast, which has enough variety to keep us both happy. The pancakes are perfect every time.

The food is great--never greasy--the atmosphere is friendly and the maple syrup is real--boiled in the next room. The place is busy on weekends, especially during sap season, but somehow I never feel rushed when I'm eating. You can buy real maple syrup at non-tourist prices and, in the fall, tasty (unpasteurized) apple cider made from apples from Patrick's orchard. The cider's the real thing, too.

This is the place where we locals go to eat, buy our syrup and cider and chew the fat. Patrick's a really good cook. Please join us.
PS: I have NO affiliation other than knowing Patrick from a local farmers' market. I get NO gain from this review, just like to show off the great parts of my state to visitors.

This is the standard that breakfast is rated on amongst my friends. Everything is always compared to "THE pancake house."

So far the Friendly Toast in Portsmouth is the only thing that's been deemed "pancake house good."

It's a little restaurant at the bottom of Pats Peak in Henniker and has it's own syrup facility that you can see through the glass doors from the dining room. Extremely busy on the weekends. One of those quaint little family own places with a family atmosphere. These always seem to be the places with the best food.
