"Elmer's Restaurants" is actually a chain of restaurants located primarily in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho (and there is one lonely holdout in Palm Springs CA). This review is for the Boise, Idaho location.

Elmer's is a fairly typical family-style restaurant, but its status is elevated by the fact that it sources and advertises regional foods. It doesn't hurt that the Pacific Northwest offers a lot in the way of seafood and land-food varieties, and Elmer's has capitalized on the location.

The Boise Idaho branch is clean and nice, and the service is excellent. It's one of those places where you feel like your Mom or Dad are practically forcing you to drink more coffee or enjoy more food!

There is a lot of variety on the menu, and the service staff were quite knowledgeable, and offered numerous suggestions and alternatives.

Overall a good, solid breakfast experience.
