I've been to Wild Abandon many times. The nicest thing is that the food is definitely not predictable. Yes, the standard items are there, as they are everywhere, but at Wild Abandon they offer breakfast dishes that highlight their culinary imagination. The food is great, the atmosphere is "funky" and the service is quite good. The (for Portland) usual 20 buck for breakfast for two.

I recently asked a group of friends where to go for breakfast and Wild Abandon was on the list of must-go spots.

It's location is central which is convenient, but atmosphere is dark (even for Portland) and the interior is need of a good spring cleaning to rid the stale odor from inside.

The menu and food were predictable. I didn't leave feeling ripped off by any stretch but not quite loving it either.

This is a great spot for summer patio cocktails with friends and I think I'll stick to that and skip it as a favorite breakfast spot. !
