We visited this establishment, Comptons House of Pancakes in stroudburg, Pa., early on and the service was good. The waitress we had was pleasant and friendly. Needles to say she got tipped well. BUT the last two times we went there the service was horrible. We sat at our table almost 15 minutes without a menu or anything. The waitress comes to take our odrer?! What order..we got no menu, sitting here 15 minutes with absolutly no service. She runs to get a menu. We get coffee, wait almost another 15 minutes for her return. Then we waited 45 minutes for our meal, which came incomplete and slightly warm. Waited 10 more minutes for the rest of our imcomplete meal to arrive. The most resent event was September 28 2007. Almost identical service but a tad better on the time but the rest was the same. So if you like horrible service and waiting forever for an incomplete meal to arrive and a manager that issues no apologies, by all means go there and spend your hard earned money. Oh coffee refills, forget it. Even when you ask twice! They will see no more of our money. Oh, and that good waitress we had earlier was gone. Gee I wonder why.

Most days they are open until 3pm. They serve breakfast all day. As you can well imagine they have all types of pancakes plus omelets and other breakfast foods. My omelet was huge and was served with a side of hash browns and toast or pancakes. Even though they were fairly busy, service was good.
