Stopped in on a busy Mother's Day - they were hopping! Omelets were great - nicely filled and delicious. Homefries really tasty - good seasoning and cooked perfectly. The only negative - we sat at a wobbly table. Beware the table in the middle of the room! Will definitely go back when we are in the area again.

Uncle Joe started the breakfast business about 1978,and with the help of my brother in law Danny It has become the best breakfast place anywhere in the area

The food here is good and is not expensive. Have been eating there for years; never had anything we didn't like. Food is pretty much like you'd make for yourself.

To the earlier post, Scarpelli gets their eggs from the same farmer for nearly 50 years - and that is why their daily special is so, well, special. Coffee is unlimited and I agree with earlier comment that home fries are variable (sometimes fine, other times outrageously good). Its a 15 min drive for me, so I only go a couple of times a month - if I lived in Torrington, I'd be there a couple of times a week.

Delicious eggs... where do they get them??? Bacon is really good. Never tried the sausage. My daughter loves the waffles with strawberries (or blueberries) and lots of whip cream. The homefries are a bit variable, but when they are on, they rock. Our favorite breakfast place for hanging around drinking eternal cups of coffee and planning our great escapes.

This resturant offers a lot of food for a little money. Their proportions are awesome. If you go there and have breakfast order their blueberry pancakes. They are awesome. If you are a power eater you will want 3 otherwise just get 2. Its to die for.
