The waitress was very mean and she caught an attitude with me. And what makes it so bad I got escorted out because I was going to beat her _ss. I hate this place.

It might be a good place to go in the am if you are really drunk and have no taste buds. the waitress was rude and was only worried about tips
the cook was a big guy that needed a shave, Not a place i will take my family ever again. they over cook all the food and it's not very clean. We sat at a table that had not been cleaned, And the server didn't seem to mind.

Absolute garbage!!!! How this place was rated so high by others is beyond me. The first thing I thought when I walked in was "This place is just like a Waffle House". Well, I was wrong. Waffle House is 20 times better than the Pancake Palace! The pancakes were without a doubt the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. The country ham was burnt so bad it was basically jerky. If you are looking for good breakfast food, keep looking b/c this isn't the place for it!!

Want quail and eggs for breakfast?

This 24-hour diner is the only place I know to go for such a breakfast. If you can't find something to satisfy on the menu, you didn't want breakfast in the first place.

I looked for some mention of this vintage diner in the many listings of historic diners. Came up empty. Don't seem to care as much about old diners in Georgia as in my neck of the woods in the northeast. Folks working at the palace don't seem to mind lack of recognition. Gracious attentive people work there and do things right. At least they did for us on our one visit. It was a rare treat to find such an unheralded diner serving excellent and varied breakfasts at a chance stop.

The coffee?

Well everything else was mighty fine but the coffee was not, for those who care as much as my wife does. This is one of the few that would nevertheless be a regular stop if we weren't just one-time visitors to this magnificent city.

Best, Terry
