It was the end of a wonderful weekend in TC and we went to Mables at the suggestion of my family. The floors and benches had food all over them. The waitress took our order immediately but it took 25 minutes for our food to arrive luke warm. She never came back to check on us, until I finally flagged her down to complain about the under cooked eggs, burnt toast and the fact that the raw eggs had contaminted the entire plate. She dissapeared into the back, and we waited at the register for our bill for about 5 minutes. The manager finally showed up and charged us for my husbands overcooked hamburger and my hashbrowns that I had 3 bites out of. I was so irritated I asked Kim the manager for the owners name, but she refused, only to offer her business card so we left. Two miles away from the resturaunt my husband announced that I needed to find a MC donalds so that we could stop to use the restroom because the restroom at Mables were so disgusting. That truely struck a cord with me as since he works in construction his standards for restrooms are not that high. Pass this place by friends, this town is wonderfull, don't spoil your visit with this establishment.

You must try the "Stuffed Hashbrowns" they are delicious!!! They come in vegetarian also which I prefer. They also have these huge sausage links that my daughter just loves!! You can even get macaroni and cheese during breakfast time...lol my 3 year olds staple..sheesh. I would recommend this resturant over all greatest breakfasts in TC.

Expect a wait, especially on weekends, because the food is great and so is the service. Wide variety of breakfast items - great for lunch or dinner as well. One of TC's favorites.
