They make an upscale Loco Moco with a "veal jus" - it was delicious, but not that much better than you get at a stand on the beach for 1/4 of the price. We enjoyed our meal, but be sure to bring your wallet - it's expensive.

Allan Wong's menu is heavy on the meat. Although the food is quite good, we stopped going because of the overwhelmingly obsequious servers. The kicker was when we asked why they didn't serve real maple syrup. The manager came over and acted like there was something wrong with us for expecting maple syrup in an upscale restaurant. We were more than a little gleeful when five of the servers were arrested in 2006 for defrauding the restaurant. Here's an oddity: they require you to tell them how much tip you're going to pay so they can run it through on your credit card instead of writing it on the slip, like all other restaurants.
