Hidden City Cafe was started by an alumnus of Chez Panisse, and the food reflects it. Everything on the menu is wonderful and very tasty.

This is the restaurant that had a cameo appearance in "Monsters Inc." Yes, it really does exist, and many of the animators from Pixar used to come here when Pixar was located in Pt. Richmond.

Their egg breakfasts are excellent, and their pancakes are light. Coffee is strong and plentiful. Prices are a little high, but the quality of the food is well worth it.
