The food at the Garden was very good. We had a slight problem with the misleading nature of the omelet menu. My white knight was lead to believe that he would get a sperm whale of an omelet with red & green peppers, tomatoes, Brea cheese, mushrooms, spinach and turkey sausage. To his disappointment, he learned that toppings were limited to three, thereby reducing the blue whale of an omelet to a mere killer whale (Brea, spinach, turkey). But what a Shamu showed up on his plate! No skimping was done on the Brea and tomatoes snuck their delicious way in as well (thanks waitress)! My man was as satisfied as any breakfast loving man can be. Plus our waitress returned many times for coffee and water refills.

I ordered Eggs Benedict with spinach instead of ham. It was good but the bread it came with was divine. Both dishes came with fruit aplenty; strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, melon and grapefruit all found a home in my mouth. I had to smile as my boyfriend pronounced, loudly, for the whole world to hear, that the place was officially remained “Garden of Eating”! Ha!

The only drawback to the Garden of Eden was the price. The meal was by no means super expensive by city standards but I’m a country gal in my breakfasting heart. It was a classy joint and the price reinforced this fact. Don't get me wrong, it was worth it and I’m happy we went. Love, strawberries, coffee and eggs…what a lark!

If you ate at Garden of Eden on July 5 2006, you would have noticed that love was in the air. It was sweet smelling and came with a side of cantaloupe. I dined there with my darling of all darlings, my boyfriend. What a man! But be warned, do not expect love to always be in the air at the Garden of Eden because we don't live near Boston.
