When I need a hug from my mom (may she rest in peace) I go to places like this. It is comforting and nurturing, even if the food isn't absolutely gourmet. So the paneling is decades old and the carpet is wearing out, the food is straight from the soul kitchen. Honest and plain chicken pies with gravy, dessert and drinks included with meals.

The CHICKEN fried chicken steak is very excellent.
So is the fried chicken and the old fashion pot pies. Everything tast homemade and it is so reasonable or even cheap prices but NOT on the quality or proportion. The service is good and so is the pie. A lot of the dinners come with soup or salad, rolls and desert for less then $8.00.
