We awere in reno and we saw the reiview for this restauraunt on mr breakfast.com. We went there on a sunday morning. The food is awesome especially the french toast with strawberries. The server kay was horrible unlike what the other reviewer said. I never got another cup of coffee and I asked three times. She only came to my table to give me my bill. horrible service but the food is the best in reno that we have ever had so it would be worth it if you don't get kay as your server.

I saw Heidi's in the popular local book, "You Know You're a Nevadan IF ...... ". Heidi's is such a tradition that they are in there twice.

There menu has an awesome variety of stuff ... omelettes, crepes, belgian waffles, skillets, and many variations of french toast. I particularly like their Chicken Fried Steak special every Sat. and Sunday. Mark, the chef, has made this every weekend for the last 20 years and sometimes we have to call in to reserve a couple of chicken-fries if we're going to be in after 11 a.m.. And the country gravy is the best!

The food servers have been there forever. It's like going to breakfast at Grandma's (if Grandma had a REAL big family). Barbara is who we always request, but you can't go wrong with Kay or Joanie or any of the 3 Sue's.
