Not nearly as good as it used to be. Service has gotten VERY slow. Also somebody needs to learn how to change the grease in the fryer. One person in our party had a fried item which looked overly dark. She ate it anyway and got sick later.

Apparentyly all these people that are putting GREAT things on the Ginger Brown's website must be getting payed off someway. My family went last week to eat there, the service sucked, that staff was rude, The food was nasty and my aunt and 3 yr old niece had food poision. The bugs that was crawling on the floor and up the walls really killed the idea for me to go there.. I HOPE THE PLACE GETS SHUT DOWN AND IS NEVER ALOUD TO REOPEN AGAIN! I TOTALLY HATE THE PLACE!!

Effective now, this is a non-smoking restaurant. That fact added to some of the best food and staff available makes this a top-of-the-list eatery for me and my whole family. All meals are as enjoyable as breakfast and WHAT A BAKERY DEPARTMENT!

We visited Ginger Brown's restaurant after seeing the reviews and just wanting some place new to try . . . I'm glad we did. We drove from Cedar Hill (about 50 miles)and it was a great morning! Prior reviews about great service are right on target--our coffee cups never ran dry. Also based on previous reviews, we ordered a cinnamon roll to share and I'm glad we just ordered one because we each also ordered breakfast. The servings were very generous, everything came out perfect and in the end we just had too much food! Our waitress was really recommending the "cherry muffin" so we ordered one and brought it home. . . OMG, it is soo good. Honestly, it is dessert in disguise. This is a real cute place especially if you want to get away from the "chain restaurant" environment. Hope to go back again for lunch or dinner.

Ginger Brown's is like stepping back in time. On the walls you will find a collection of Antique irons,cookie jars and if you look to the right 9 of the best painting I have ever seen. I'm 47 years old and I can remember the juke box in the booths,and they have them. I took my Mother and she ordered from the senior citezens menu'chicken livers' she said they were excellent and the price was very resonable I ordered the chickenfried steak with these meals you get 2 veg., 2 lg rolls and 2lg cinnimon rolls the best I have ever had, I ordered a dozen to take home, oh and during happy hour their half price. We took home enough to feed my husband I just opened a can of green beans. And last but not least the people that work there. Everyone is freindly, the way people use to be. Everyone is smiling and they look like they like what thier doing. I feel like if you went there enough you would be family. I left full with a bag of cinnimon rolls and a 'doggy bag' serifoam box full if chickenfried steak and chicken livers,a smile and a full tummy for around 20 bucks + well deserved tip. I love Ginger Brown's
