We have never had bad service even at the busiest of times....and we go to breakfast there frequently! The staff are friendly, prompt, and courteous. Great food and our coffee cup is never empty!

I came here with a friend and his family 2 years ago and ever since I have come back! I am quite a regular with my family and just love the food there! The waitresses are very kind and know my autistic brothers order by heart! Roger the owner is very nice as well my father and him talk quite a bit! The food is so delicious and I love on the weekends I can get a Belgium waffle for only 3.99 and it's the most delicious in town! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in town and I especially love the firefighter decor being a firefighter I feel right at home! 120% rating!!!!

I cannot speak to the coffee refill rating; however, the wait staff kept our beverages topped off and were very attentive.

The service was amazingly fast, and the food was delicious. I'm not often a fan of scrambled eggs ordered from a restaurant, because they are often gooey and runny (even if I order them how I like them). The eggs were cooked perfectly at Engine House Cafe, and the rest of the food was delicious! I ordered the gravy biscuit combo, and my wife ordered the ham and cheese omelet.

Easily the best breakfast restaurant in town, and the other food on the menu looked amazing as well.

I'd like to add that the atmosphere is very charming as well, and the management were very friendly in our brief interactions with them. Highly recommend this location!

Great food, served lightning fast. Hot coffee. Comfortable environment. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Maybe just a tad slow with coffee and water re-fills, but otherwise an outstanding dining experience.

Went there first time tonight. Didn't know they were open for dinners until a co-worker told me. The place was packed, with only one waitress who seemed to know almost everyone there by first name. She didn't recognize us, asked us if we lived in Havelock, and took the time to get to know us even though she was the only one there. Our food came out quickly, was delicious and never wanted for a thing. All the customers seemed to just love being there. Something about the atmosphere, history of the building, service and food I guess. We will be back and WILL be telling others.

Halleluia! The short, blone waitress is gone! I have eaten here many times and time and time again, the food is awesome! The portion sizes are huge - you will never walk away hungry. Friendly service has improved due to the exit of the above mentioned waitress. If you have stayed away because of her - it's definitely time to come back! Where else can you get real home-cooking without all the trendy, chain atmosphere.
