I chose this place as a halfway meeting spot between Iowa City and Des Moines. We met for breakfast and were quickly greeted and seated. The service was fast and friendly and the food was wonderful. We ordered eggs benedict, a skillet, and two different omelettes and nothing was greasy! We will be back...this will be our one Sunday a month meeting spot for breakfast or brunch. They have a salad bar for lunch and you can get in addition to your meal so we will definitely have to try that sometime as well.

Great food, and they give you a plate full! Family atmosphere, non-smoking gives it 20 stars. Now open for dinner! Check it out!

The Westside is an all-American diner with true small-town Iowa charm. The food is cheap. greasy, and there's plenty of it. Clientele is tipped in favor of elderly farmers and working families, with occasional influxes of Grinnell College students on Weekends and Friday mornings at 8:00am.
