For a vegetarian, this place is just right. They even cater to vegans. Delicious vegan pancakes, tofu scrambles, soymilk for your coffee... it goes on and on. And if you eat eggs and meat, they have all kinds of interesting options as well. Service is very good, but if you get there after 10 on a weekend, be prepared to wait outside for a while. If you can make it on a weekday morning, that's the time to go.

I have been to this restaurant three times and the service is just so unprofessional. The waiters, including the owner were just plain rude. I had brought my mother over for breakfast and had to wait 30 minutes for our order. When I approached the counter to politely follow up, the guy (who I know is the owner) yelled and said.."well, you just have to wait because we are busy here." This was very embarassing and will never return to this dump ever!

Just the eclectic appearance of Julians from down the block makes you want to give it a whirl. The atmosphere is relaxing for your mind and entrancing to your eyes. The menu is quite refreshing with daily specials and delicious vegan/vegetarian options. The biggest issue I had with Julians was the price compared to the amount of food you recieved. If you are not a poor college sutdent (like most in the area) then this could be a regular place to catch a quick bite. If you are...splurge every once in awhile and you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant located on Broadway in the heart of the West Side is home to the hip. The waitstaff are mostly artists and musicians and not all are entranced by their job
(so to speak).

The food is good -- eclectic and vegetarian friendly and the space is cosy and good for people-watching -- full of art, found objects and artists.

Watch out for the weekend wait. If you go before 9:30, you should be fine.

Pretty cool eclectic asmosphere. Nice people serving coffee and food. Not a big, but fairly diversifed menu with a variety of specials. The wait for meals was a little long, but worth it. Not the place to go if you're wanting to fill up on breakfast. Might want to double your order, especially if you order pancakes, that's what I ended up doing. They were delicious though and cooked perfectly. Real maple syrup is served with them. Shared the sweetpotato broccoli and Swiss hash with my buddies. I might go back again. Nice place to hang out with friends.
