My wife and I found this place while vacationing in San Francisco. We loved it! From the outside it doesn't look like anything special, but step inside and find a great "South San Francisco treat." The food was wonderful and the service was very friendly. I considered ordering the pancakes, but opted for something I thought would be more filling. I saw the pumpkin pancakes on my way out the door and they were plate size, so I shouldn't have worried.

I had the Spicey Migas w/black beans and it was excellent. With a small grill I'd like to see the grillman work on a busy day. Their pancakes look incredible and seemed to be the most popular. They also hand cut their home fries! Service was good and attentive. Don't be confused by earlier post as they do accept credit cards.

Consistently Excellent. Sit at the bar and watch the magic as your breakfast is prepared in front of your eyes.

REAL maple syrup on Orange French Toast, Excellent. Heaven, if you like to eat.

JoAnn's is an amazing local treasure for breakfast.

The weekday or weekend breakfast menu is a mix of classic American breakfast fare with a few Mexican-flavored dishes.

Of particular note: omlettes at JoAnn's are huge, fluffy, and amazing.

For pancake lovers, it's a mixed bag: there's only one type of pancake available each weekend, but it's usually delicious--often topped with fruit and served with an infused butter that complements the fresh fruit. House specialties include a wonderful cornmeal/yogurt pancake, and very fluffy buttermilk pancakes. In the Fall from October through November don't miss the pumpkin pancakes.

One word of warning: cash only, so bring some money.
