It's been our experience that for good breakfasts you can depend on truck stops and diners. Well, if there were truckers in the Pearl, they'd be eating at Fuller's.

Bar stools on the inside, a few tables on the sidewalk. Great food (eggs, omelettes, pancakes, home made bread for toast, etc.) and great service.

A good old-fashioned breakfast joint.

You can't beat the atmosphere. The place is totally cool. It's got this step back in time vibe that adds to the enjoyment.

Breakfast was very good. The chicken fried steak, eggs and gravy were some of the best I've had.

Service was very good. The kind waitress smiled as she frequently refilled coffee and water. The food came out rather quickly and very hot. Definitely worth the visit.

Sunday morning with less than 6 other customers... Had to ask for coffee refills twice. Omlette was okay but the toast was wonderful! $17 for a German pancake, omlette and two cups of joe. Wouldn't go back again.

This is true diner food at it's best! It's not even camp/kitcsh, it's just plain good and friendly. If you live in the Pearl district, enjoy all the fancy options, but settle in here.

I love this place! Where else can you go to get a $3 breakfest and good service. They were so friendly to me and my dog outside, which they brought water to. I don't think I'll deviate from them for awhile. Want to service, good food, and good prices - this is the place!

We waited for a few minutes (less than 10) on a Sunday morning around noon. However, the turnover at the diner seems to be constant which almost guarantees a short wait time. Friendly servers and good food. Huevos rancheros and "the special" were ordered. Both were enjoyed. Be sure to get the homemade bread (comes in either white or wheat). It's worth the trip.

Be prepared for close proximity to your fellow diners as all of the seating is at the counter and on stools. Fuller's is situated in the heart of the Pearl District (Powell's, Sur La Table, Whole Foods, etc) which makes it a great start to a Sunday in the area or for a quick stroll after the filling meal.

I love Fuller's. Their toast is made with homemade bread. The wait staff is really good at reading your mood -- if you want to chat, they will, and if you are having a grouchy morning, they leave you alone. The stool seating is a bit uncomfortable, but that is more than compensated for by the excellent grub. I have to confess that I often bring my own thermal cup of coffee into Fuller's, because their java varies from okay to awful.

Fuller's is worth about a four-hour drive. It's worth going to Oregon for. It's worth every cent you pay for the delightful service, the wonderful food, and the nicest people in Portland, which can be a surly place sometimes.

Restaurants become famous and fame goes to their head. Here in Seattle, the DogHouse is the best example, which declined into a wreck in its end days. Fuller's is justifiably still quite famous, doling out exquisite eggs, fluffy omelets, and psychic coffee refills. A nice touch: Your water glass is refilled with the same sense of urgency as the delightful life-giving java.

A friend of mine says she lures people to Portland, sells them on the town, and then takes people to Fuller's to seal the deal. It's worth it, folks. Fuller's is worth the trip, and shows no signs of decline in spite of its fame. Yes, there are cheaper breakfasts to be had, but no, there's nothing as good as Fuller's. I've lived in sixteen states, and been to seven continents, and i still get excited for their food somewhere around Chehalis on the drive down.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM
I love this place. I love the people. The cooks, the waitresses, and the FOOD!
It is a very comfortable place with happy customers that enter happy and leave happier.
I was a little glum when I first found this place. It was raining (in Portland no less) and I was far from home. Between the pancakes and the friendly people, I was suddenly happy and warm. When in the Pearl EAT HERE! If your just in Portland, go to the Pearl and EAT HERE!

There is only one thing I eat there and it is awesome. You must try the chicken fried steak chicken. White breast meat with white gravy 2 eggs and hashbrowns with toast. MMMM good. The girls that work there are super nice and freindly. Just like any other place though it can get quite crowded and your literally touching elbows with other customers on a saturday/Sunday morning. try closer to noon or early like 8am.

Kind of a classic-looking breakfast place - comforable. Decent service. I had pancakes because I saw somebody else had them and they looked really good. They were really good. A little pricy - but overall thumbs-up.
