I enjoy Arnie's for dinner, but in my opinion, breakfast isn't their specialty. The breakfast menu is fair, not too many items and not too few. Most of the items on Arnie's menu do not reach the high standard set by many of West Michigan's "mom and pop" restaurants. I do enjoy the skillets and the "Jogga Bread" toast is great, but the remainder of the menu is avaerage and, while the food tastes good, it is nothing out of the ordinary. The niche for Arnie's is their full service bakery. If you want excellent baked goods (breakfast or otherwise), Arnie's is your place. The pastries are very good and all of their breads, buns, etc. are homemade. Also, the restaurants are all well-maintained, cleaned, and decorated nicely. The atmosphere has a unique feel at each Arnie's location. Overall, Arnie's is a nice place to visit for an occassional breakfast, but I feel there are many better places in West Michigan to grab a sit-down breakfast.

I can't figure out what they do to the eggs. It's almost as if they have too much water, or maybe a high ratio of whites to yolk. The bacon used to be good, but they changed it a while back, and it's always overcooked.

My mom and I used to eat their twice a week. But now they have removed the coconut shrimp from their menu. It is a major bumber. That and we just started weight watchers. So if they bring back the coconut shrimp we will return.

I haven't been able to get past ordering anything other than the pastries for breakfast, because they are so good!! Also, their desserts (dutch cream pie, mackinaw island fudge pie, chantilly pie, and scandinavian torte are fabalus, absolutely fabalus!
