the food is great and the portion size was even better, had to bring the extra home in container, no complaints ...

My cousin in Aledo told me if I'd bring him a pound of brisket and a pound of sausage from Smokehouse (I was enroute from North Carolina via Van Buren at the time), we could be cousins forever. So I did and so we are. I tried it myself while there and found it to be different (not NC), but good.

If you are looking for great BBQ this is the place to eat. The prices are unbelievably low, and they aren't stingy with their servings.The brisket and ribs always taste fresh and never taste dry or old and the BBQ sauce is to die for. Great service, great food-I heard about this restaurant from a friend and had to try it myself. Does NOT even compare with the BBQ place next door.

CONS: The brisket is the driest I've ever had, their bbq sauce is average, interior needs serious updating; PROS: Prices are reasonable, sausage is good. I think the locals come here only because it's convenient. Go to Deiter's right next door for a step up in food quality!

If you want BBQ,,this IS THE PLACE...It's clean,excellent service,great location,clean...They also have burgers,pizza,Chicken Fried Steak....you name it...But the BBQ,,,Yum...
