New Product Review:
The complete name of this cereal is Cold Stone Creamery Birthday Cake Remix Cereal. It's a "cake batter flavored cereal" that's made up of sprinkle-coated, Kix-shaped round puffs and disk-shaped chocolate marshmallows.
When you open the package, you get a strong, appetizing whiff of vanilla. Eaten dry, the main pieces are very sweet and very tasty. The vanilla is very pronounced. The chocolate marshmallows are very chocolatey. Eaten all together, the dry cereal will remind you of the flavors of vanilla cake with chocolate icing.
In milk, the puff pieces have a nice crunch for about 5 minutes before they start to soften. In the first few spoonfuls, the flavor of vanilla cake is nearly overwhelming. As the smash of cake flavor becomes less startling, the flavor starts to settle into more of a vanilla Cap'n Crunch type of flavor.
The chocolate flavor of the marshmallows - which was so impressive dry - is hardly noticeable in milk mixed with other pieces. Spoonfuls with the highest ratio of marshmallows to puffs are the best, but those spoonfuls are rare. This cereal would be better with more chocolate to offset the relentless vanilla.
Note: The marshmallows tend to sink to the bottom of the package so give it a shake before pouring a bowl.
Milk left at the end of bowl is blueish-white and speckled with colorful dots. The flavor of the milk, like the cereal, is a very sweet vanilla flavor.
In the end, this cereal accomplishes what it sets out to do... it with remind most people of cake, if not necessarily birthday cake. Most adults will find the cereal way too sweet. Most kids will love it.

I really hate the strawberry one. I won't even try this one because strawberry was a gag. Threw it out. Had a bowl... so sweet I was sick the next day.
