We were walking back from the bank and saw this place open. It was the first or second day they were even open so it was pretty quiet. I don't think it will stay that way very long, our area needs a good breakfast place and we were super pleased with the Next Door.

I had the crabcake florentine and my friend had the french toast with creme brulee(?). AWESOME. The florentine was good. perfect portion. I am not sure what is in the breakfast potatoes but it's addicting like crack!

The french toast was unlike one I have tasted before. I asked about it and the chef came out and told me how to make it. Brioche toast dipped in literally creme brulee custard and then put on the griddle. He carmelized the top with sugar crystals. Yum!

The lunch & dinner menu looks promising so we will be going back. Everything here was totally reasonable for breakfast/brunch.

Bloody mary was excellent and they gave us a sample of a "breakfast beer" to try with the french toast. Very accommodating and hospitable place. We are spreading the good word for sure.
