The coffe was very strong and set a bad tone for the rest of our breakfast. We were unable to finish one cup of coffee. The food was okay but not exceptional. Again as stated the coffee set a bad tone, after all, a good cup of coffee will at the very least initate a return visit. We will not go back and will advise our friends as well.

Pancakes were doughy and heavy. Service was bad. I visited when they first opened so I sincerely hope they improved, especially the pancake recipe.

We've been going to East Egg every week since they opened, and it's become our favorite breakfast spot, hands down. The reasons for this is that the food is consistantly very well prepared, generous portions, generous refills on Water Street coffee (they often even give me a "refill to go"!), and an outstanding wait staff. Consistancy, week after week, is the key for us here. We like the atmosphere too. I've tried many of the items on the menu, and I've got to say that they have all been most excellent. My favorites are the omlettes, benedicts, and the homemade hot donut holes. Great hashbrowns too! I'm a very picky customer, and do not hand out compliments like these unless I feel they are well deserved.

After reading the online reviews and checking out the menu I was really excited to try East Egg so I talked my boyfriend into taking me there today since we had to drop off our computer at Best Buy anyway.

Well, it was terrible!!!!

After leaving we spent the rest of the entire day sick with upset stomachs and since we ate the same thing and we were feeling terrific before going to East Egg I have naturally come to the conclusion that it was the food!!!

We will never go back!!!

I like the food and the coffee just fine. Something needs to be done to absorb the noise; I have consider if I can deal with the loudness whenever I'm thinking of eating here.

Good Coffee from a local roaster. Staff was very good. My breakfast was prepare as I had asked. Management said they were working on dining area acoustics. This is needed badly.
