They have $12 bacon and eggs and $15 sandwiches. The breakfast is normal sized, and the sandwiches are 3-4 meals in one.

You cant get a quarter sandwich though. You are left saddled with a huge togo box full of sandwich. Just drop it off with ubiquitous bums hanging outside and accept your losses... you paid $15 for a sandwich, and that was stupid. Let others profit from your failures.

They are decent foodwise. They are overpriced, and you have to dine with stupid people, people willing to pay $12 for bacon and eggs... the kind of people that will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Seriously... paying triple the price for either a mediocre breakfast or a super duper double decker sandwich you cant finish, right across from two flop houses downtown is a statement about American callousness, over consumption, and the separation of rich and poor that not even I can stomach.

If you eat here you more than once you should punch yourself in the throat, or at least you should want to if you have a conscience.

Could it be? The best Eggs Benidict in PDX I have found thus far? It may very well be. No english muffin here- it's a challah bread base topped with Kenny and Zuke's handmade, melt in your mouth pastrami. Awesome poached eggs and a delectible hollandaise. The sweetness of the challah with the saltiness of the pastrami mixed with the creamy, buttery tang of the hollandaise makes for a killer combo. It came with roasted potatoes which annoyed me, only because it was taking up room on my plate were another eggs Beni could be. I'm sure the portions were more than adequate, but I left hungry and wanting more.
I was so enthralled by the Beni at Kenny and Zuke's, that I have no idea what my husband had for breakfast. I'm pretty sure it had pastrami in it.
As awesome as the Eggs Benidict is, I must continue the quest, so for now, The Hunt Continues.

New-ish downtown sit-down deli featuring fresh-baked bagels, delicious pastrami, and egg dishes. They make their own pastrami which is a must-have.

Like any popular restaurant, there is usually a line on the weekends. The seating can be crowded and noisy during peak times. Table service is hit-or-miss with servers disappearing at times while other servers deliver plates.
