As an old regular at Maryanne's I am disappointed to even be on this site to leave a bad review. But something needs to be said. The place is basically falling apart. Not literally but in the eyes of someone who loved it there it truly is. The waitresses aren't social they drop your food off and your check and you never see them again. I haven't had a friendly greeting or goodbye since the old manager left and Maryanne herself retired. That just like home feeling is gone and I'm not sure why. The food is excellent well sometimes at this point. But the place needs to be "cleaned up". It use to be spotless and this past Wednesday when I was in, it definitely was not. I'm not sure what is happening at Maryanne's anymore but I can tell you this it is not good. Sadly I believe I will not be returning.

To be honest I found this place some time ago. Normally they would get all A's but today, on a Friday, the waitress dropped the ball.
The food in this place is very good, especially the french toast. If you get a combo breakfast be prepared to take some home.
Usuallt the coffee cup is always full until you say stop. Today it was a little different. I was waited on by a young blond woman who I have never seen before. I was given a cup of coffee almost as soon as I sat down. When the breakfast came, quite quickly, I was almost done the first cup of coffee. Well that's the last time I saw her. She even left the check when she delivered toe breakfast so I didn't have to see her again. The place was empty so I have to assume it was bad service. This is the first time this has happened at MaryAnns and I hope it is the last. Let's hope they get it right the next time.

Today the people of maryannes did a little Christmas celebration. everyone was dressed up and it was adorable! Santa even stopped by and ,my grand daughter was thrilled. strangest thing is the second he walked threw the front door it began to snow a little outside! this place is honestly full of a type of magic almost the people are so sweet and even other customers begin to all become like family they are always doing something for the customers like gift card specials and little things for the kids to color in and such. the food is fantastic and i cant imagine having breakfast any where else. best diner in the area!

This is one of my favorite little spots to eat. I stumbled into Maryanne's a little over a year ago and I couldn't be happier. It's some where to bring your friends to catch a quick meal or a place to bring your family after church on Sunday. The food is AMAZING! I couldn't live without my Eggs Beni and Maryanne's by far is the best around. I come down just about every weekend for breakfast or lunch from Yardly. And trust me there are plenty of little spots closer to me where I could grab a bite to eat but NO WHERE is like Maryanne's I love the wait staff. Ashley and Nicky are to cute and always super sweet and friendly to my children. The new waitress and waiter Steve and Kate are friendly too! If you wanna get a great meal and be surrounded by friendly people this is the place to be hands down!

This has become one of my new favorite spots. I just moved to the area in September and ive never been happier to find Maryanne's! The wait staff is by far awesome! The company of Maryanne herself makes it feel just like at home you just dont need to make the food yourself which is the best! I can say the the kitchen is a little slow but hey its home cooked food what more can you ask for really! it comes out hot and fresh and is always delicious. If someones in a rush to eat go to mcdonalds in my opinion! The Chip Beef is amazing here and you have to try the deep fried home fries it makes it ten times better! havent really been in for lunch and i dont mean to time im just that hooked on there awesome breakfast! Love my girls at maryannes!! Dont change anything!!

The food is really good... u can tell they make everything from scratch... waffles sausage gravy etc....food is fresh creative and hot... BUT to small the tables are crammed together... regulars get special attention and it's no secret that the kitchen either needs more equipment of more people... idk I'm nobody but I know how long it takes to mkke pancakes... they got rid of the waiter staff and want back to all waitresses which I don't know why. These guys were great... don't get me wrong the girls are good... the best part is the Benedicts and the flat screen tv... u have flaws like every restaurant but I just think u guys need to expand... just don't change the Homefries with bacon and Cheddar.

I love it here! Maryanne's is close to home and is like eating at home. The food is always so fresh and the pancakes are to die for. I'm a creature of habit so i havent tried nearly as many things on the menu as my husband but i havent heard a complaint from him. and by the looks of his empty plate i dont think i will. the amount of food that is given considering the price is unbelievable.i cant imagine actually eating everything they give you.

I love this place!! There is no doubt about it in my mind that if you were to stop in youd love it too! The wait staff is amazing!! and i hate to say this about my girls but the food is even BETTER!! Everything is so fresh and filling, the platters here are outstandingly to much especially considering how reasonable the prices are. Never in my life have i had such good tasting sausage gravy! And the eggs beni... HOLY COW! Best hang over food ever!! I always receive a greeting when i walk in the door. But usually its by a new face, there's only a few people i always know ill see. Like Ashley and Nikki those girls are the best, they bring me my coffee on the spot and sometimes they make my mind up for me. If your passing threw corydon beansalem are this is definitely the place you wanna stop and grab a bite to eat! No other place like it!

I really enjoy this place. It has a great menu and the cooks are really good. Other people have put on here that the staff isnt the good. I TOTALLY DISAGREE!!! the staff is one of the reason i go. Whenever you go into the diner you are always greeted by maryanne. She makes you feel like you are eatting a home. I have never waited more then 15 min for any meal here. The waitresses are great they are nice and funny and engage each and every customer. Ashley and Nicky and Ronica do everything they can to make your meal enjoyable. The wait staff is another reason most people come here. Its like hanging out with friends. We know them and are a part of thier lives and they become a part of yours. I liken it to the show "Cheers" everyone knows your name and knows what you want to order. The place to be in the morning is Maryannes great food, great prices and great staff.

I find it interesting that the only people complaining are listing themselves as anonymous. No guts to admit that you're only trashing the place because you know you are going to go back? Hrmmm...
You know, we wait sometimes, but never all that long, and every single time we have ever been there, the servers have been curteous, friendly, and helpful. They tell us of specials, talk to us on a personal level, and are always in an upbeat and friendly mood. (I've also noticed that the less than stellar servers never seem to hang around long. Kudos to the owners for not accepting bad service!)
Maryanne's is a great place with a friendly atmosphere, and the food is always what you expect or better. They rarely, if ever get your order wrong, and if they do, it will be fixed. AND HOW ABOUT THAT VALUE? They do gift certificate deals around the holidays, and offer bulk deals on the certificate, making thier already low prices even lower! You can't get that at any other diner I know of.

As for the people, Ashley and Ronika rock, and chatting with Maryanne herself is always a welcome and enjoyable treat. There are a few other newbies there who have already started warming up to my wife and I as well.

Haters gonna hate, but I'll say this: THE REASON THE RESTAURANT IS ALWAYS BUSY IS BECAUSE MARYANNE'S ROCKS, AND EVERYONE IN CROYDON KNOWS IT. Go take your haterizing elsewhere, because we will be back again and again again.

Hands down he best diner I have ever eaten in. I have been going to Maryanne's at least once a week for the last three years. I have had almost everything on their menu and a few things that are not on the menu and have NEVER had a bad meal nor have I ever waited long for a meal. I beg to differ on these horrible service comments. I come into Maryanne's Diner Multiple times a month most of the time on Tuesday's just to see the two young ladies who are working. Ashley and Nicole are always on top of things, telling me and my Co-workers the specials, suggesting things that we might like, we never get the same thing to eat there. Everything we have there is excellent. 4 out of 5 times they are packed Tuesday's and we still don't wait that long to get our food. I love and am truly satisfied with the food and service there, sorry for the bad experiences some people say they had but i can't imagine it being that bad with awesome food and two amazing waitress's to write a horrible comment about it.

Today was my 5th mothers day spent at Maryannes, this is a tiny place but the food is always excellent! Although there has been many changes happening at Maryannes its still a just like home kind of place! Nicole and Ashley are the kind of girls I just can't wait to see although I don't get to come in as often as id like they still remember me everytime I walk threw the door. I was reading the comments & was also wondering why everyone is raving about this place. Of course the servers know who people are, because you have to sit there for almost an hour waiting for your food! There could be 2 tables of people and they consider it busy! Those poor servers have so much work to do! No bus boys, no dish washers, Maryanne's only there part time doing the cash register- it's crazy! The food is very good, but to wait 45 minutes for an omelet is just not right! And the owners are so damn miserable. I know some of the servers and it's really a shame what they go through there- they don't get paid when the 'open' sign isn't on- so they're there at least 2 hours a day cleaning & setting up for the next day & not getting paid! So, if you do go- make sure you tip well!! I won't go there by choice! Eww- and the coffee is horrible- it used to be good, but they switched it & its terrible! Plus they mix the old coffee w/ the fresh brewed pot- yuck!

Been going to Maryanne's forever. Love my Southern Style Benedict with dippers. Great family run restaurant. There have been a few changes the last few months due to some family health issues. Don't go there if you expect fast food like McD's, Good food takes time.

Okay, I'm reading the other comments and wondering if I was at the same place. First of all, they are VERY SLOW! It took over 50 minutes for us to get our breakfast. Breakfast is usually pretty quick and I think 50 minutes is ridiculous. The food is okay, nothing spectacular. You do get a coffee refill when you ask for it, but not without asking. The servers always look very disheveled and they have no bus boy, so tables are left dirty for a while till the server gets to it. It's a cute place, but needs a faster cook and a busser.

I almost hate to tell anyone about Maryanne's. IT IS THAT GOOD! -- and fast, friendly service. The bacon and cheese omelet and potatoes are as good as it gets. O, the always fab bacon, sausage, scrapple and Taylor pork roll Meatlovers Omelet. All portions are very large and tasty. And if you happen to want lunch instead ... the sandwiches are huge and tasty.
