We visited the Ohio St location on a recent trip to Chicago, and it was a great experience. We had to wait, but only for a few moments. They are very efficient about moving people through without making you feel rushed. The service is very friendly. The portions are generous. The food tastes great - especially the pancakes. You won't be disappointed!

My family and I ate there during the summer on a vacation to see the local parks and museums. The service was excellent, the menu was tremendously varied and the food was fresh and outstandingly prepared. I highly recommend the eggs benedict with smoked salmon - served with fresh fruit and fried red potatoes. I'd drive four hours just to have breakfast there again!

This tastefully decorated restaurant has great food, good service and large portions. The location (on Michigan Ave right across from the park) provides great ambience. Its also pretty reasonably priced for the area. The wait was about 20 minutes for me right in the middle of the Sunday morning rush. Longer waits for larger groups. They don't take reservations, so arrive early! All in all a very good experience.

We visited Yolk in Oct of 2008, simply put it was the BEST DAMN BREAKFAST, I have ever eaten. The staff were very nice and helpful, but the food was outta this world. Very fresh, and lots of fruit. I would return to Chicago just to eat there again!!!

I've always checked out this site before a trip, and may I say, the information I received for YOLK was the HOOK UP! Yolk is one of my all-time favorite places--ever! Check out the skillets. They range from steak, chicken, veggies and "build-your-own." They're served with red potatoes, sauteed veggies and eggs cooked your way on top. It's served with probably the best pancakes I've ever had. The servers are completely hip and warm. The atmosphere is fantastic and you're within walking distance of the Art Institute. Yolk is the beginning of a great day! We ate there every opportunity--I think you will too!
