I love Lucile's, and it is an institution in Boulder County. We used to ride bikes to the Boulder location in the summer as a family, and then with my posse in college Saturday mornings. Now, I live in Longmont, and still get to enjoy this great food.

These restaurants are always in converted Victorian houses near downtown. They serve New Orleans dishes. Start with Chicory coffee and beignets.

They have great sausage, red beans, greens, trout fish, spinach, or eggs, and praline waffles to choose from. Even their oatmeal is award winning. The serve the meals with giant homemade buttermilk biscuits with homemade strawberry jam or orange marmalade. Choose between grits or potatoes. The Cajun spices are homemade, too.

I bring all visitors here, and they love it.

True, lately service could be tighter, and their front dining room needs to have windows that open as the sun makes it quite hot and stuffy in that room.

I must of been there on an off day (3times). My food was brought to an disinterested server whom I did not see again untill after my meal

amazing eggs benedict! must try the beignets! huge delicious biscuits! don't forget to have a steaming cup of chicory coffee and chilled glass of "freshly squeezed by your server" oj!
