Sarabeth's is a great breakfast spot. It is off the bustle of Duval St., but that should not be a deterrent. The owner, David Case, the owner, is omni-present and the kind of man that you think you have known all your life after a brief conversation. He really cares about his restaurant and customers and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The place does not scrimp on quality. The food is spectacular and the pumpkin waffles are even better than that. Sarabeth's is the type of place that you should not miss for breakfast, in Key West. I hear the dinners are not bad either.

I visited Sarabeth's three times during my last stay in Key West - twice for breakfast and once for dinner.

I tried the pumpkin waffle (topped with pumpkin seeds and raisins and served with honey instead of syrup) and the lemon ricotta pancakes - which were fluffy and flavorful.

Be sure to try the Four Flowers Juice made with OJ, pom, pineapple, and banana - it's expensive ($4), but seriously delicious.

I didn't get to try the Porridge, so I'm going to have to go back.

The service here is excellent and the outside seating is very comfortable and shaded.
