Ok Sofiasommer,I hate to say it but.. you obviously haven't eaten here it quite some time. Back in the late 1990's Tommy's was great. It was bought by someone else sometime in 2005/06 time frame. The food is absolutely horrible now. Breakfast is a joke. An omlete that had BARELY melted greasy cheddar on top and over stuffed in the omlete. The bacon was dark and really greasy. Gross. The soda tasted funky and service was just OK. Hard to get bad service when your one of the only people eating in there because they are so over priced and have lousy food. Don't get me started the hamburgers. BTW the cost of a hamburger there is about 13.00!!! An omlete is 10.00++!! The last time I found myself sitting there I thought to myself "OH YEAH! THEY HAVE BAD FOOD AND COST TOO MUCH...WHY DID I COME HERE!!"

Sadly, Tommy's is no longer a 24/7 place...but... They are usually already open when I'm driving through town on the I-5 from LA to San Diego... My first choice for breakfast in San Clemente for my LA to SD early morning run is the Sunrise Cafe 'if' it's open yet (see my review for Sunrise Cafe)... Anyway... Tommy's is a VERY good 2nd choice... Fabulous dishes (VERY large portions), fast attentive service... Adele's in the San Clemente Inn is also a good alternate choice (see my review for Adele's)
