It's a typical Winchell's - maybe a little cleaner than others I've been to. I usually get cream or jelly filled donuts here. I also like their coffee. I think Genie's Donuts on Nogales St. has slightly better donuts, but they're pretty close.

When I moved to RH in the 70s. There were 2 donut shops that I noticed. I think there was some dozen-donut war in the 80s and my mom brought home a dozen donuts for like 3 years straight and I had breakfast everyday. Maybe I had dreams of becoming a Twin Peaks dude. Well anyways, I stop by in the mornings when I wake up early and need a kick to get me going.
