The Blue Water Cafe is a hit! It has only been open for a little over 2 weeks and you can see that the owners and the waitstaff are really passionate about their work. Our food came out quick and hot and the waitstaff were very personable and always willing to get you what you needed. We have also eaten dinner at the Blue Water besides coming in for lunch and their dinner specials are out of this world! May i suggest Absolut Seafood or the Shrimp and Scallops Risotto or for the non seafood eaters the Filet Mignon. Its the 3rd restaurant for the owners and they are doing a great job. CONGRATS. ITS A HIT!

This place just opened 2 weeks ago and is still trying to get it's act together as far as breakfast is concerned. They have 2 other restaurants on Long Beach Island (Stefano's) but they don't serve breakfast there. Very nice location. You can eat inside or outside under umbrellas or awning. Very good quality chairs and tables. Food however was not hot. An english muffin that was supposed to be toasted was sent back and came back looking the same but was very hot. My wife's pancackes were just warm and we waited for butter and syrup. They reheated them for us (probably in a microwave) and they were hot but a bit chewy. Service is spotty. The girls carry everything out in their two hands (no trays). I suggested that a hostess cart would help. I had a Mediterranean omelet (with spinach, feta, tomatoes and Kalamata olives) which I must confess was very good. Home fries were close to cold. There are some unusual and healthy items on the menu and prices are a little higher than normal. Although we were somewhat disappointed, I am willing to give them a pass and visit later in the summer or after Labor Day and see how things are then.
