OMG. I was pretty shocked when I saw this place on Diner's Drive ins and Dives a while back. My aunt and uncle live about a mile or two from the place so last time we went to ferndale we went to the Flytrap for breakfast. I ordered the green eggs and ham and I loved it. It tasted amazing. Of course this place is soooo popular among the locals and it's just a hole in the wall so the wait is pretty extensive, but if you can deal it's the best breakfast in town, IMO of course...

The Fly Trap calls itself a 'finer diner'- and that's a great description of it. It is a small diner (6 or so tables and counter seats) with a trendy vibe. They play punk rock and ska at all hours of the day. The small menu is a fusion of old diner/'comfort food' faves and more modern flavors- cheddar biscuits with pancetta gravy for example.
