Today the food and service are good.

Having said that; I've been going to this restaurant for the last twentyish years and have seen the inconsistency in the service, food quality, and portions. Today the service was good and the food quality was great, but the portions were fairly meager.

I would like to give them the highest marks but cannot. If you go here then you're taking your chances.

Overpriced, snooty, a long wait, bland food, and highly over-rated. If you're into paying $6.95 for scrambled eggs, while being surrounded by people who dip themselves in patchoulli stink as they discuss what they should pack in their RV for the next burning man- this is your place. If you are looking for a place that serves reasonably priced and delicious food, go elsewhere.

If you like paying for high quality service and food without the service, it's great! This place just puts me in a bad mood.

Don't be put off by the long line out the door. Or the fact that you have to stand in line to place your order (unless you eat at the Monkey Bar - there's table service there, but it's a bit slow).

There's no where else in Sacramento to get such a great breakfast. Breakfast Burrito? So spicy & yummy. Eggs Bernardo (updated Benedict)? Perfection. Waffles? Pancakes? French Toast? Breakfast potatoes? Don't get me started. It's all wonderful, but with a unique and modern twist.

There's a nice outdoor dining area, along with the Monkey Bar area for those of you who need a hair of the dog treatment.

There are also locations in Davis and Roseville.
