I have eaten at a lot of places, Frank's Diner is by far the best ever. The servers were great, the food awesome, and can't find a cleaner place up & down the east coast. Frank's has the best homemade cakes ever. They remind me of my grandma's baking. They also make the best pancakes & french toast, nothing fancy, just good olde fashioned cooking.

First my food took almost 45 minutes, I had a tbone burnt to the crisp. When my waitress came over to check on me and I told her about my tbone she quickly said "Well what would you like me to do?" So i told her I would like a new one because a medium well steak is not BURNT! But maybe it is to the rednecks that own the place. As she tells me this huge ordeal about cooking another steak, I let it go and just continue to drown my NASTY steak in A1 sauce. Then I hear the hosts talking about the roaches in the back (not even trying to be quiet about it.) They said that one of the cooks brought it in. Hmmm... you mean the one's cooking my food? So after my wife ordered a piece of pie because she said the place was known for desserts, we found mold all over her lemon merengue pie. Yum! So when we told the waitress, who I do admitt was very nice (kind of "blonde") she told me, well I can give you something else. So i asked her nicely for the bill and left. As we went up to the register, we see the other waiter scratching his head and rubbing his eyes. And all of the people working there looked almost as if they HATED it, wow what a surprise. I wonder really what the managers were like, because out of the whole 1 hour and 45 minutes I did not see them.

Well, our coffees were never refilled. The server came and took our order then disappeared behind the counter to flirt with the hostess. He never even came by to check and see how our food was. A different person even brought out our food. We had to go up to the front to get the check, because he ignored us when we tried to get his attention. We were the ONLY table in his section.
The food...where to begin. Everything tasted like it came out of a bag or a can. It wasn't "home-style" like I would expect a greasy-spoon diner's food to taste.
The restaurant was clean, I'll give it that.

I've been going here for many years, and there's a tremendous variety of foods, the service is quick, the coffee is good, and it's one of the better places in the Howard/Anne Arundel County area. Much better than the Silver Diner!
