Great food, when my daughter and I travel to Salt Lake she wants to eat there every morning.

Great food, very fresh and plenty of choices on the menu, the french toast were delicious.
My wife praised the corn beef hash, appeared to be made fresh and it tasted as such.
The only con I have is I expected to see something unusual or creative on their menu other than the usual garden variety breakfast, they do offer plenty of choices on the panckake menu.
Highly recomend it

Awesome place. The hater who gave a bad review previous to mine had to have been at a different place. The food was some of best, and the service was superb. Even with the lengthy line outside it wasnt long till we were seated. The food was out in short order and the waitress was perfect in her duties. I will be going back again.

Pancakes are not my thing, but I have been won over! The Hawaiian, the blueberry and the pecan pancakes are amazing! The food takes longer to make, but is so worth the wait and the service was very prompt.

Having eaten in other Original Pancake House's around the country (yes, sad to inform all you Utard's that this isn't something unique) I have to say this is an average example at best. I had ordered the strawberry crepes and was disgusted to find that management in Salt Lake City finds that filling them with some kind of strawberry jelly is sufficient? GROSS! The other Original Pancake House's all use real strawberry's and a strawberry sauce that is awesome. My table mates had an omelet and french toast and reported them as ok, but nothing to jump up on the table or to make up for the time we had to wait in line to get in. Sadly, in Salt Lake City you would do just as well to slide into a booth at your local IHOP as wait in line for a less than spectacular breakfast at the Original Pancake House.

Unbelievable food! I actually heard about them on an early morning news broadcast. The bacon is to die for and the pancakes and waffles are made from scratch! My favorite is the chocolate chip pancakes, which come covered with Ghirardelli chocolate chips. My husband, an omelet fanatic, always orders the Irish omelet. It's the place we take all of our out of town friends and family when we're looking to impress! Oh, and just a little insider tip, it's best to go either very early, or later within the open hours to get the shortest wait possible.

Would you rather eat somewhere really busy, where the wait may be a while, or some place really lame that is empty? The ORiginal Pancake House is busy (mostly on the weekends) but it is SO worth it. Personally, I'd rather eat where there are lots of people because that means the food must be good. AND IT IS!

I love the banana pancakes and the Irish omelet...and the Dutch Baby and the bacon and the orange juice and it goes on and on! The food rocks! The service was friendly, too, but the food seriously rocks!

Check it out.

I've waited a long time for a great breakfast restaurant in Salt Lake city and the wait is finally over - the Original Pancake House opened in Salt Lake City. The food is always fresh and tastes like real food, nothing out of a can or a mix. The apple pancake was to die for and the fluffy omelet took three of us finish it. I got a latte' that was good but the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice my sister had was even better. We can't wait until the patio is open so we can sit and drink our coffee (really good, too) and look at the mountains.

The server was really nice, clean and friendly and we had a relaxing meal!
