i usually consider "family dining" to be an oxymoron. canyons is kind of an exception to that and on a sunday morning i'll wake up well before work to hit their insanely good brunch. the food's ordinarily pretty good for the price tag but breakfast brings out the best. the eggs benedict is merely excellent but the real highlight for me is always the western omelet, raised to extraordinary heights with some mild green chiles and a ton of bread and goodies.

also the refills are especially good on the coffee front and, bonus, FREE WIFI. the ticket runs me about the same as IHOP and the servers delightfully perky for so damn early on a weekend. it's like your living room but with breakfast.

From the phenomenal Eggs Benedict, to the hearty Farmer's Scramble, Canyons has all the breakfast bases covered. Waffles are conspicuously missing from the lineup, but this is more than made up for by their awesome homemade Marionberry muffins, (fresh baked every morning), with a big glass of fresh squeezed orange juice to wash them down! Canyons may only serve breakfast Sunday mornings, but it's the one meal a week you'll look forward to!
