My husband and I stopped in there to have breakfast, as I am a diehard Twilight fan. Place wasn't very busy and felt comfortable. I specifically wanted "Bella's" table from the Twilight movie. We ended up waiting about 3 minutes and were seated at " Bella's table. It was a thrill for me. Service was quick, place was clean and the prices were very reasonable. The food was excellent and one of the owners who was there stopped to chat with us. She told me a lot of trivia tidbits about the film crew, actors and how they filmed certain scenes. It was so exciting to talk Twilight and sit at Bella and Charlie's table!! We are definitely going back, maybe for lunch next time! Thanks Carver Café, we enjoyed our visit with you!

I live about a mile from this cafe and have been going there at least a couple of times a month for the past year. I have only been displeased once and that was on a very busy and recent Sunday when our food took about a half hour to arrive after ordering. Needless to say, it was standing room only at the time. This was in mid October 2010.

However, this slow service is not usually the case. I have always had at least "good" service but mostly it is "very good" to "awesome". The staff is small and yes, they are not the friendliest people but they are more than capable of good service, a smile, a wink, and a come again, and a playful smile at my grandson. My most recent visit was today, November 9.

I will continue going there. I feel that the occasional less-than-great service is more than acceptable for delicious, well-prepared food at VERY reasonable prices.

My husband and I have been coming to the Carver Cafe for the past 9 years. We are not part of their regular customers but we at least stop in a few times a year when we drive up the Clackamas River.

We took a road trip on September 6, 2010 and were looking forward to a Carver Cafe breakfast. We arrived and sat down at 10:50 a.m., as usual the place was busy but there were quite a few empty tables left. We waited a while and finally were given menus. Coffee was served a few minutes later with the promise of cream. After waiting 5 minutes, I got up and got my own cream. Finally at 11:05 or so, our order was taken. After a 30 minute wait, we decided that we were not going to spend our whole day in the Carver Cafe and asked to pay for our coffees. Seeing that we were leaving, they did not charge us for the coffees. No explanations were given why the service was so poor.

We left the restaurant extremely disappointed and our bellies empty. We had never waited this long before. As I mentioned the place was hopping but it seemed to us that although there were 3 people on the floor serving, no one knew exactly what to do and the kitchen was definitely not producing the orders as it had been in the past. Our order when we left had not even started to cook.

It is unfortunate that we will not go back to Carver Cafe. It pains me to say that we will not recommend or mention this restaurant to any of our friends and colleagues in the fear of having them experience what we just experienced.

We wish them luck in trying to keep their customers happy. By the way, we were not the only ones to leave without eating.

Have they changed owners? When I emailed them, my email came back undeliverable.

We have gone to this restaurant several times. We arrived @ 12:45 and waited 1 1/2 hours for our food. We had recieved a gift certificate for Christmas to this place, otherwise we would have left. The service was awful. We had to ask for silverware, coffee refills,etc. The waitress's are not very friendly, unless you are one of their regulars. The food was very good. We will not be going back.

If you’re a Twilight fan or just hungry for lunch please don't waste your time with Carver Cafe... I was there 3.27.10 taking my friend and our daughter’s site seeing, and we were literally waited on by a 12 year old with a very bad attitude. Not only did this rude child through our menus at us, but she probably spit in our water. It was of the worse experiences I have ever had at a restaurant.
To top it off, while we were try to pay a table behind us had found hair in their food and was having a hard time getting their waitress to come over to speak to them about it. Then once she did come to their table the waitress acted like it was a hug inconvenience to bring them a fresh dish.... Now we know where the unruly child gets it from sense she did call the other waitress Grandma…Ugh
We were so, so, so disappointed that a restaurant who has received a lot of business due to all the Twilight fans would treat paying customers this way; would treat anyone this way. I would suggest you only stop by to take pictures our front and call it good. Not worth the suffering!!! Oh and this was not my frist time here. I was treated badly 10/09 and was trying to give the Café a second chance… NOT ANY MORE!

My sister and I have been wanting to try this cafe, heard it was good. The food was outstanding but the service was really bad, everyone around us got coffee refills, we were completely ignored. Waitress seem to have an attitude with us, why I don't know. Only thing we could figure out is she didn't like "outsiders"??? Cafe was not that busy at the time, so can't use that as excuse for her attitude. Really too bad because we won't be back for that kind of treatment.
