we were regulars for years. service went way down hill, language from waitresses became that of a ww2 soldier...never went back...it may have gotten better, but it's been 3 years...they lost us after 5 years of weekly breakfasts with all 6 kids (adult)

Agree w/ the other postings - the owner desperately needs to work on his people skills. It's too bad because other than him it is a nice place to go for breakfast.

The food is amazing. The owner actually owns his own farm and the food there is of good quality and worth the drive. The owner's personality is wonderfully friendly. Every time I go with my family we are welcomed and eat the best breakfast around. Some people complained about the service and owner, but I have never had any problems and I have been going for the last 5 years. As for the woman who ordered food and never picked it up that is just childish. Man I am scared now of every New Yorker...if she took the time she would know the owner is from New York. Clearly if he told her to leave the food must be good because there is a constant influx of people and they didn't need her money. I would go and try it out if I were you. The food far out weighs the rest.

First I would like to say that the food was AMAZING!
I ordered the Pumpkin waffle with toast and was Very Happy with with my breakfast!
My only complaint is that the staff and management really need to work on their people skills. It is a cozy atmosphere with fantastic food, only to have all that over shadowed by staff who have no idea how to treat customers.
I don't go out of my way there like I use to, and I'll be honest when i say, That SUCKS! :(

Go for the food........ Take Out that is!

We live in NY & found this little place & have gone there two other times while visiting our daughter in college. This last time the owner was there as the hostess. After waiting 15 minutes he calls our name & then says "Oh no it's not you it's another "Mike" and sits his friends that clearly came in after us. When I approached him to point this out, he was rude said "Ok, I'll just cross your name out then..how's that?" I said to him "I would never treat a customer the way you are treating me" & he just shrugged & said "Leave, I can't even look at you, nevermind have someone serve you". I mean we drove 20 minutes over from the college, we were with our 2 children & just decided to leave because we do not want to give someone like that our money. I was extremely upset after leaving but after reading the reviews of the owner I realize he is just a real Mother F**ker. Later I called in an order to go & never picked it up and might just do it again. He screwed around with the wrong NewYorker.

The owner is a crude fellow with no manners. He cares only about the money. I have observed him several times in one seating acting like an ungrateful business owner. His food is not healthy, there is little that is natural or holistic about his operation. Only a big facade. A real chef and restauranteur cares about his food quality ad where it comes from. This man does not. Check out the butter and the inexpensive mounds of french fries that he loads you up with. You have to be pretty dumb to believe that this guy really cares. He uses cheap eggs (not from chickens who roam freely and are fed properly), inexpensive breads, potatoes, along with the rest of his food. All from the industrialized food system. Maybe the guy works for the government and is trying to kill you.

The owner is a real jerk, we were waiting to be served for almost 20 minutes and they weren't that busy we told the owner and he didn't seem to care he shrugged it off. The breakfast was way over priced and not good at all.

The food was pretty good and the service was good also. The one thing that bother me the most was the way the manager treated his staff. He was rude with them. This is not a way to run a business or employees. That really turned me off.

Someone should really teach him some manners!

My wife and I are taking a break from King's for a while. This was once a superb breakfast/lunch establishment that ran like clockwork. During our past couple of visits, we have noticed that the service attention has dropped a bit. It has not dropped enough that I recommend that you avoid King's, however, don't expect their once almost perfect reputation. Since we're paying a premium for this breakfast we certainly expect excellent service to accompany the food. I'll post again in several months to give an update.

The Food here is amazing.I loved the forget paris and their pancakes all of this food is amazing Iwant to try it all!!!!!! YUMMMMMMMMM! I can't stop coming back every sunday.

King's offers a clean country setting (very cozy) with scrumptious breakfast & lunch. All kinds of DIFFERENT items on the menu. Portions are large. Breads and preserves to go. yum-yum!!!
