After 25 years as the local breakfast place they must be doing something right. They have 10 different Eggs Benny's with real butter hollandaise sauce. They make their own sausage, pancake mix, waffle mix and sauces from scratch. They invented their cream cheese syrup and on a waffle with fresh strawberries it's to die for.

Good food and good service, but the atmosphere is a little busy for my tastes. They need to take out a few tables; it's not nice to be trying to relax and eat your breakfast while people and staff are jostling against you!

This is one of the best places to have breakfast anywhere in the world. We know this from experience because we have had breakfast all over the world. The cream cheese syrup is heavenly. Eggs Benedict are the best. Any visit to Victoria is not complete unless you have at least one breakfast at John's Place.

It's been a local favorite since it opened in 1984. The walls are covered with pictures of sports players and movie actors. A very comfortable environtment and very family friendly. The line is out the door by 10:00 am. They offer pancakes & waffles, tex-mex, homemade cornedbeef hash & egs(the best I've tasted), steak & eggs, create your own omlette, side orders from cornbread to chorizo and beverages from clamato juice to soy mocha drinks. A must stop for the hungry traveler.

Breakfast doesn't get any better than this! The pancakes are amazing clouds of fluff and the eggs are done to perfection. Coffee is always fresh and hot and the refills are plenty.

Get there at opening time on the weekend or be prepared to wait - the line goes out the door.
