My wife and I usually look for out of the way cheap places to eat and were pleasantly surprised to find Rt 28 Roadhouse. It was a busy time but we found a table and the menu was full of interesting choices. I had an omelet. She had eggs bacon, home fries and a pancake. The food was good. The service was good for how busy it was. If you like the route 66 theme with hundreds of license plates on the walls, this place is for you.

We went to the Roadhouse on a weekday morning. It was pretty empty, so we got seated and waited for service. It took a while because both the owner(the cook) and his wife (server) were talking to some old friends and we know that in business it's always better for business to talk with your friends than to take care of customers. We finally were waited on, it's been a while since I have been to this place but it seems that the prices have gone up considerably. I ordered scambled eggs, which were very dry, toast and home fries(greasy) MY companion ordered an omelet, which was ok and greasy home fries. It took forever for the server to get our bill. I don't think I'll be going back especially with Poor Boys down the road. I'll take Poor Boys any day over this place.

This place has it ALL. I've been going to the Roadhouse for 10 years. It has always been a treat. Friendly staff, good coffee and tons of food to fill you up right. The roadhouse has this ability to make you not care about the yolk dripping down your chin, no matter whom you're sitting with. It's so good the table is silent as everyone enjoys and savors every bite.. and no matter what you get there will be a lot of them.

If you think there's a better place for breakfast in NH, you're wrong.

Food is very good, prices reasonable, huge assortment of omelets, roomy tables, only real complaint is a lack of assorted jellies at table.

The Roadhouse (as it's known) is the house of huge omelettes, great coffee and cheap prices! The breakfasts are both bountiful and unique. Lunches are affordable and of "epic portions!" The service is fast and curteous and they cater to children and offer 10% discounts to seniors. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, they make all their own soups, gravies and desserts.
