A few years ago I loved this place, I don't know if it's under new ownership or what I went there today and paid ten dollars for an omelette half the size that they used to be with frozen hashbrowns and probably toast they picked up at Walmart, I won't go back. If you want a home cooked meal this isn't the place. May as well go to Denny's and get twice the food for the same price.

I went to Johanna’s Kitchen looking for a good home cooked meal and that’s exactly what I got. The owner and waitress told me to try out the pot roast dinner, so I took their advice and ordered it. With it I got soup or salad and a scone or dinner roll. I decided to try the Caesar salad which was amazing!! It’s not your usual Caesar dressing there is a really good lemon lime zing to it. Then I got my pot roast dinner with a good portion of pot roast, a baked potato and vegies. Everything tasted amazing the pot roast was very tender and juicy. Then came the scone I could only fit a few bites in because I was already so stuffed from my dinner but I have heard so many good things about the scone I had to try it and it was worth it. The scone was great topped with the home made honey butter and the home made raspberry jam. SOOOO GOOD!!!! I would really recommend going here the food and service was GREAT!!!

They serve Boyd's coffee and breakfast all day.
For lunch or dinner, be sure to try the flavored and specialty drinks-Johanna's root beer, cream soda, or hot chocolate. There are also about 12 specialty flavored drinks available. The best boods are made from scratch; scones, homemade raspberry jam, biscuits and gravy, quesadilla, and the breakfast burrito.

On a recent visit, I ordered the pot roast dinner because it was the early bird special that evening. The dinner included a ceasar salad, which i greatly enjoyed. It also came with a scone on the side. Now let me tell you, the folks at Johanna's KNOW how to do a good scone. The pot roast dinner was very well portioned, and I was also impressed with their homemade mashed potatoes. The early bird special came with a freee slice of pie, so i decided to try key lime. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Im glad we decided to stop by and i will definitely be back!

Johanna's is such a nice change of pace from all the chain restaraunts here in the Salt Lake Valley. The food is really good, I like being able to order breakfast all day long as do my kids. Johanna's has a great variety of specialty drinks and their scones are the best anywhere around. The price is comparable to other breakfast joints around the difference is that Johanna's gives you WAY more food! Definitely worth trying!

My family loves to frequent Johanna's for every breakfast occasion. It isn't gourmet or fancy but to us, it is so much better that a place like Mimi's Cafe, Denny's or IHOP! Johanna's reminds our family of some of the yummy coffe-house restaurants you'll find going across Nevada without the reek of smoke in the air, or clinking of slot-machines.

Johanna's makes great omelette's and the famous Utah scones with homemade strawberry jam. (Fry bread)

Come early, this place is always packed on Saturday mornings but worth the wait!

Sorry, I don't drink coffee so I can't tell you if theirs is any good.

Bad attitude, like they're doing you a favor. Lots of rules and regulations. They have a longtime faithful crowd, so I know LOTS of people really like them, but their miniscule portions and major pretentions are a turn off.

good pancakes and sausage.. service is a bit slow but food is good. also, some good pie. the amount of food isn't a lot (per plate) but it's enough to make you full. also, good iced-tea.
