So do I begin with the bad service or the horrible food?
my guy ordered the Eggs w/Sausage & toast, with their "famous" potatoes. eggs were unseasoned but cooked correctly, sausage was pretty bland but cooked correctly. And then there were the potatoes - not only were they way underseasoned (has no one heard of pepper or salt?!?) but they were also under-cooked. waaay under-cooked, some even still raw. I ordered the Dulins potatoes & added two eggs "sunny side up - yolk runny". At Dulin's this means serve two eggs that are still uncooked. There was a slimy mess of raw egg white coating over each egg. My potatoes were mostly cooked, but I had some raw ones in my dish too. My toast was soggy, having been under-toasted and then drenched in butter. The waitstaff definitely lived down to the standards set by the food. when my guy flagged the waitress down to complain about his potatoes her response was "oh..ok". If she had bothered to even ask us once how our food was we would not have needed to flag her down. When she came past our table again she walked right by. she seemed to finally remember that she was in the customer service industry and came back to find out what we wanted done about the potatoes. we ended up getting $2.00 off the bill (cost of the potatoes). Another sign of really bad service? when they don't even have the common sense to wait until the "Bad" customers are gone before they start talking smack about them. When we went up front to pay she was in the middle of complaining about us to another waiter, loudly enough for us to hear. I would have asked for the manager but there didn't seem to be any grown ups around. This was our first, and last, trip to Dulin's.

Finding good breakfast is not all that easy in Vancouver. Dulin's "used" to be very very good. That was when they were in the tiny location on Main St. Everything was outstanding. The decor, the service, the atmosphere, and particularly the food. Once they moved into the old "Holland" location, something happened. I don't know what caused it but, the food and the service is now as inviting as egg whites. The same goes for the building. Dude, what happened?

My friends and I meet for breakfast 2-3 times a week. Last week and this week we hit up Dulin's. I'm more apt to eat at the Tin Shed, Zell's, Bar Carlo, Petite Provence. Was looking for a decent Vancouver breakfast spot since my search in the last year of doing such, has only gave me 3 notable spots. 1) Heathman Lodge 2) Omy's Cafe and 3) Plainsman on 4th plain. Dulin's is more of a family sit down that caters to all. A distinct Irish or Scotish infleuence. Turned out to be one of my most enjoyable breakfasts ever. Food was served hot, prepared just the way I asked, service was friendly, fast and considerate. Definitly not a trucker eatery and not as fancy as Heathman. With that said it has moved up my list, to 1 of my top 3 places to eat breakfast. I may try Lunch or Dinner soon with the family the menu has some great items like : Sheppards pie.

My wife remembers the days when this place was THE breakfast restaurant in the 'Couve.
Now it just plain sucks. Like another reviewer already said, they nickle and dime you to death. The coffee is excremental and our table was greasy and dirty. Service was slow and not very happy.
I'd hate to see what they are like if they're ever busy.
Avoid this place. Only the Parker House in Camas is worse.

Ugh. Bland, greasy diner breakfast with depressing decor.

It seems to cater to folk to lazy to drive across the river to better restaurants.

The menu is very lackluster. I had the two-egg breakfast with sausage, and my husband and I shared an order of french toast. The sausage wasn't bad, although it was served in the form of patties (I prefer link!). The eggs were cooked to order. But the potatoes were HORRIBLE. They were small white potatoes, cut in pieces that were overly big. Some pieces were cooked, and some weren't. And I'm pretty sure they were leftover from the day before. We ordered our toast buttered. It came dry. Didn't even try a bite. The server brought our milks to the table 10 minutes BEFORE the meal. Overall miserable experience cost over $30. We won't go back.
