Whole Wheat Krumbles
From: Kellogg's

An advertisement from a magazine in May of 1938 described this cereal like this:

"More fun for breakfast... these crisp toasted ribbons of flavored whole wheat

"Want to enjoy the thrill of real discovery? Try Krumbles! They're delicious sun-ripened whole wheat... rolled paper-thin and cut evenly into tiny ribbons... toasted clear through to a glorious, uniform golden brown. As delicately crisp and crunchy as Melba toast!

"You'll revel in their flavor - only Kellogg's famous secret recipe can add so much extra goodness to wheat. And Krumbles, being whole wheat, are especially good for you and the children. Next time you buy a whole wheat cereal get Kellogg's Krumbles. And for a breakfast that can't be beat, try them with the season's first plump, juicy strawberries!"

Other ads have referred to Whole Wheat Krumbles as "the breakfast of energy" and "the energy treat".

Company Description: Kellogg's was originally founded as the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company in 1906. The company's founder Will Keith Kellogg is credited with inventing corn flakes along with his brother John Harvey Kellogg. The company was renamed the Kellogg Company in 1922... I loved Krumbles so much and have missed it all these decades. Decade after decade, and still wishing to be able to eat it again. Kellogg's is a huge company... I don't understand why they can't handle a little job like that; bring us Krumbles again! PLEASE!

I ate Krumbles as a kid. They really need to bring it back. I am now 70 and the little things in life are what matters. Krumbles was one of those things that gave us joy.

Krumbles was my favorite! Yes, 'bring it back'! OK, the marketeers will have to find a way to differentiate it, a niche! Healthy and delicious!

I remember this cereal from my childhood - utterly disgusting. It became instantly soggy when you poured milk on it and worst of all, a strange brown color immediately suffused the milk. Ick!

Please bring back Krumbles! I always remember it being the best cereal. When we couldn't get in our state, my dad found a grocery store in Wisconsin that had it still. He bought all the boxes they had! Bring it back!
