Team Flakes
From: Nabisco
Introduced in 1963

The first adult cereal with flakes made from four grains: corn, rice, oats and wheat.

It's suspected the cereal got its name because the four grains "team" together to make a winning flakes.

A magazine ad for Team Flakes described it like this:

There are people who have never tasted TEAM Flakes by Nabisco. A pity. They're so good... with rice, corn, oats and wheat teamed up in every flake. They even have bubbles baked in to keep them extra crisp.

Another ad introducing the cereal in 1963 described it like this:

The most spirited new breakfast in years!

New spirited taste! For the first time, 4 grains teamed up in one flakes... rice, corn, oats, wheat! Never before such taste in a flake! New crisp spirit!! You just can't dampen it with milk, because Team's baked with tiny bubbles for crispness. The spirited flakes with the spirited taste from Nabisco!

Company Description: Nabisco's history dates back to 1898 when three bakery conglomerates merged to form The National Biscuit Company - comprised of 114 bakeries. In 1901, The National Biscuit Company introduced the Nabisco Cracker. It wasn't until 1971 that the company changed it's name to Nabisco... Read on and see all cereals from Nabisco

Loved Team Flakes! Was hooked when we got a free sample hanging on our front door. Had to be 1964 or 1965! Never found anything that came close to tasting as good!

Advertising was right on. Crispy to the end unlike other corn flake type cereals. GREAT FLAVOR. I would eat cereal today if it were available.

It simply was the best tasting cereal ever, and stayed crispy in milk longer than any other flakes. The demand is out there - bring it back!
