Super Sugar Crisp
This cereal has changed names many times since it was first introduced as Sugar Crisp cereal in 1949. From Sugar Crisp, the cereal became Super Sugar Crisp, then Super Golden Crisp, and then Golden Crisp.
By examining television commercials and print advertising, we've determined that Sugar Crisp transformed into Super Sugar Crisp in 1967 or 1968. Super Sugar Crisp became Super Golden Crisp around 1986.
Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. The first breakfast cereal to come from the company was Grape-Nuts in 1897... Read on and see all cereals from Post

A rare treat; a perfect cereal and always super cool prizes! Not healthy, but few kids cereals are.

I wish Golden Crisp still tasted like Super Sugar Crisp. When they removed some of the sugar, they removed most of the magic. Loved it back in the day.

I almost lived on Sugar Crisp as a kid in the mid-1960s. If my mother allowed me to run out of this cereal, the Anti-Christ in me came out! LOL

My children ate these when they were younger. I still eat them periodically now that it's called Golden Crisp.

It tastes good but definitely not "awesome". It contains too much sugar. Not good even for adults. We introduce our children to diabetic disease by giving them sugary cereals, drinks, etc.

Yes, too much "Sugar" isn't good for you, but this cereal was a delicious part of growing up. And I still have the Super Heroes flying disc from their instant prizes contest!

Well, here I go again with another comment 4 another cereal. No friggin' lie, I have those cut-out records!! As soon as I figure out how to upload an image of myself displaying them, I will. I only just bought this new MacBook 2 months ago, and I'll have 2 borrow a camera. I have the Sugar Bears, The Archies, Bobby Sherman, The Monkees, Jackson 5, a spooky stories record, and the monster adventures in outer space (Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Boo Berry).

I'm looking for the commercial where it goes: "Mr. bear don't you belong inside that cage" and bear says: "not me, I'm the Sugar Crisp Bear."
