Cinnamon-Scented French Toast

Cinnamon-Scented French Toast

(4 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1/4 cup fat-free egg substitute
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices oat-bran bread
In a 9" x13" baking dish, mix the milk, eggs, oil, vanilla and cinnamon. Add the bread in a single layer. Turn the pieces to expose both sides to the mixture.

Coat the griddle or large non-stick frying pan with non-stick spray. Place over medium heat until hot. Transfer the bread slices to the pan, working in batches if necessary. Brown on both sides.

If you can resist having a pat of butter on top, this is healthy.
