Brown Rice Breakfast
(1 serving) Printable Version
- 1/2 cup brown rice - cooked and cooled
- 1 Tablespoon sliced almonds
- 1 Tablespoon raisins (or dried cranberries)
- 1/4 cup soy milk
- 1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 2 drops vanilla extract
- 1 dash cinnamon
How To Make Brown Rice Breakfast (If You Still Want To)
For the microwave:
Combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir well to combine. Microwave for about 1 minute - stirring once mid-way through the cooking time.
For the stove top:
Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized sauce pan. Cook over medium heat - stirring occasionally - until evenly warmed (about 5 minutes).
A hot breakfast cereal made with brown rice instead of oats. Healthy and tasty. A great way to use leftover rice.

At first, I thought this might not go down well but I was wrong. This is really tasty and healthy. This recipe is great for my diet plan because it's easy and filling.

I love this recipe! Very tasty and filling. I made 4 servings and put some in the fridge for the next couple of days. Substituted raisins for dried blueberries... YUMMY
